How are we supposed to run a business in this town with the continual incompetent lack of service provisions?
In addition, the losses sustained by residents with damaged food, etc., must be huge, not to mention the extreme inconvenience.
The time has come for the municipality to accept their inability to manage the problems and employ suitably qualified people to provide the appropriate services.
The continual power failures must be due to lack of maintenance and suitably qualified people to ensure a reliable electricity supply.
I am now considering approaching other businesses in the town to institute a class action court interdict to force the council to own up to the real reason for the problem, have it rectified or face claims for loss of profits, as it is clear that the problems are no longer isolated disruptions.
Someone needs to answer and take responsibility for this problem.
It would be interesting to see if someone in the municipality has the courage to respond.
Editor’s note: Comment is awaited from the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality.
