Oh yeah, it’s over-steer
A brand new drift season gets underway at The Rock Raceway on Saturday, February 7, with round one of the Cambees Midas SA Drift Championship.
The sideways drift masters will take on the challenging gauntlet, laid out by the judges, as they aim to impress with their style, flair and horizontal antics without spinning out.
Drifters from throughout South Africa, as well as neighbouring country Mozambique, are expected to make their way to the Brakpan circuit for the first round of battle.
Gates open at 10am and spectators can witness a whole day’s practice session before the main event starts at 4pm.

On Sunday, February 8, the all new and extreme Street 2 Strip drag races will take place, where regular Joes can bring their daily drive along and drag race in a safe environment.
Gates open at 2pm and racing starts at 4pm.
