Knights ruin Titans’ party

This comes after the VKB Knights secured the four-day domestic trophy following an innings victory over the bizhub Highveld Lions the day before.

Shaun von Berg struck a century and took a 10-wicket match haul, to steer the hosts to a consolation victory.

There was still all to play for though, going into the final session on day four in Benoni, with the Titans needing 44 more runs for victory with only four wickets in hand.

Heino Kuhn and von Berg (who scored a second innings 35 not out), however, played with composure.

Kuhn hit a spectacular 165 runs not out despite wickets tumbling on the other end.
