Ekurhuleni junior golfers keep producing the goods
Both local and international junior golfers from the region enjoyed tremendous success on the greens and fairways.
The year 2018 has been another successful one for the Ekurhuleni Golf Union (EGU) and Ekurhuleni Junior Golf.
Ekurhuleni Junior Golf held their annual prize-giving and year-end breakfast at Ebotse Links on December 2.

Awards went to the following individuals and teams:
• 2018 EGU Junior Handicap League: Winner: Serengeti Golf Club, runner-up: The Lake Club Benoni
• U-13 Golfer of the Year: Marno Lange (Serengeti)
• Special Award: Laerskool Kruinsig (Kempton Park) for a winning performance in the eighth Ernie Els SA Primary School Championship played at Humewood Golf Club in Port Elizabeth.
• U-15 Golfer of the Year: Shared between Jonathan Wilsenach (Kempton Park Golf Club): Christopher Bagnall (Serengeti)
• U-17 Golfer of the Year: Grant Ferreira (The Lake Club Benoni)
• Most Improved Girl Player for 2018: Kyra van Kan
• Girls’ Merit Award: Kaylan Boshoff
• Junior Girl Player of the Year Award: Caitlyn Macnab
• Team of the Year Award: EGU Girls u-19 team of Sue Andrew (manager), Teagan Lubbe (Ebotse Links), Nicole Strydom (The Lake Club Benoni), Nadia van der Westhuizen (Serengeti), Kyra van Kan (Ebotse Links) and Kiera Floyd (Ebotse Links)
• Most Improved u-19 Boy Player: Saul Moss (Glendower Golf Club)
• U-19 Player of the Year: Yurav Premlall (Glendower Golf Club)
• Ekurhuleni Junior Golfer of the Year: Casey Jarvis (State Mines Country Club)
