Major expansion for Afribiz on the cards, starting at Expo 2020 Dubai
Business development in the rest of the United Arab Emirates, Middle East and Europe is also in the pipeline for Afribiz.

As part of its major expansion outside South Africa, pan-African investment company Afribiz Invest will soon be opening its doors in Dubai.
Business development in the rest of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Middle East and Europe is also in the pipeline.
“Afribiz Invest has shown considerable growth, despite world challenges. And, it would only make sense for us to leverage off what we already have and invest in new markets,” said Afribiz Invest president Collen Mashawana.
The company will kick off its expansion plans by showcasing its wares and services at the Expo 2020 Dubai, in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry.

This follows government’s call for South African companies to participate in the prestigious expo.
According to the Deputy Minister of Trade, Industry and Competition Fikile Majola, the aim of the country’s participation in Expo 2020 Dubai includes showcasing South Africa’s industrial capabilities, products, service offerings and promoting SA as a leading technology hub on the African continent.
Expo 2020 is a world expo currently hosted by Dubai in the UAE from 1 October 2021 to 31 March 2022.
Originally scheduled for 20 October 2020 to 10 April 2021, it was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
“We love the UAE – especially Dubai – which is the most populated city in the UAE.
“It has been attracting long-term investors for a while now. The city has really become a hub for property investors,” said Afribiz executive director Pongo Pule.
The company recently met with the UAE ambassador to South Africa, Mahash Saeed Al Hameli, in a bid to gain official support for Afribiz Invest’s expansion ambitions in the emirate – realising the levels of efficiency needed to prosper.
“We are extremely excited to open our doors in the UAE.
“We hope to create great relationships and a lot of strategic partnerships.
“Expansion is key for us to achieve our long-term goals and we see a lot of barakat (blessings) in the UAE,” said Afribiz board member Zareef Minty.
