It’s auction time, baby!

All sorts of assets, from baby-wear to bakkies and big construction machinery, will be on auction at a trilogy of titillating sales by Consolidated Auction Group.

Smack bang in the middle of the month, on October 15, is a whopping warehouse clearance sale of bank and liquidation items worth at least R2 million.

Baby wear and accessories, stationery, office and lounge furniture, shelving, garden planters, general furniture, safety wear and vehicles will be up for grabs.

The auction will be held at 10 President Street in Germiston and Chico da Silva, Consolidated’s managing member, will start the sale at 10.30am.

The following day there will be more auction action at Consolidated, at the same venue, starting at 7pm, with a shift in focus to cars. On offer are sedans and single as well as well as double-cabs, again from various bank repossession and liquidation concerns.

Several panel vans and other bargain-price wheels deals add to this auction’s allure.

“As usual bidders can expect everything from the automotive alphabet: Alfa, Citroën, Colt, Fiat, Ford and more; all the way down to Toyota,” says Da Silva.

“Best of all is it that it’s an evening auction. These are proving increasingly popular, enabling a greater representation of buyers to attend our pre-owned car sales.”

A few days later, on October 19, Consolidated will again be in action in Lephalale, also known as Ellisras.

This urgent auction, ordered on behalf of sub-contractors and various creditors requiring a clearance disposal, comprises construction equipment as well as trucks, trailers, tractors, LDVs and miscellaneous assets.

Among the construction equipment bidders can expect at least two late-model CAT 140G graders.

Also available is a 2006 BELL L2208C wheel loader, a 2010 Solar 225 LCV Excavator, a 2008 Volvo TLB, a CAT roller and water tankers by MAN and Mercedes-Benz.

“The best of the branded best,” says Da Silva.

This dynamic disposal starts at 10.30am and will be held at Rietspruit 8 on the corner of Marken and Verkendam roads in Lephalale.
