Double volume offices up for auction

A large, multi-tenanted, double-storey office building in Pretoria is being brought to auction by Park Village Auctions (PVA) in October.

Located at 357 Visagie Street on the corner of Sisulu Street, the property was once the home of the Institute for Democracy in South Africa. On October 15 it will be auctioned on site along with its contents at 10.30am.

The property, recently renovated, features a gross lettable area of approximately 3 134m2 comprising open plan sections, private offices, boardrooms, large conference rooms, a staff kitchen and canteen, staff toilets and store rooms. Ample parking, a security office and flatlet for a building supervisor also feature. In total the property occupies a portion of land measuring 6 484m2.

The contents will be auctioned immediately following the auction of the property. Given the nature and size of the property, it comes as no surprise that a large amount of goods will be auctioned under this banner.

Goods to be auctioned include a large assortment of veneer desks, chairs, side tables, bookcases, filing cabinets, shelving, training tables, couches, boardroom tables and chairs, credenzas, decorative bases, desktop telephones, computer monitors, televisions, projectors, a communication terminal, printers, a DVD player, various works of art, canteen tables and chairs, kitchen equipment comprising chest freezers, pots, pans, an oven, a microwave and much more besides.

“This is a particularly outstanding commercial property, head and shoulders above the rest,” notes PVA’s Jaco du Toit. “It’s aesthetically appealing, features interesting architectural elements, is well-laid out and spacious. The new owner should have no shortage of tenants.”

Bidders can buy the property and purchase the bulk of the contents virtually simultaneously.

Viewing is on October 14 from 10am to 3pm. Details: www.parkvillageauctions.co.za
