Entertainment booking website entertainment-online.co.za revealed how much it will cost you to book some of their clients which include Afrikaans pop crooners like Bobby van Jaarsveld, rappers like Cassper Nyovest, comedians like Condrad Koch and David Kau, South African music legends like Hugh Masakela or even praise singers like Zolani Mkiva.

Earlier this week there was a furor over Cassper Nyovest’s booking fee of R120 000. As it turns out Nyovest’s booking fee is not the most expensive. Booking gospel choir Joyous Celebration can set you back R465 000, while booking music duo Mafikizolo will set you back R300 000.

These prices can of course vary. According to entertainment-online.co.za big name celebrities and bands cost between R50 000 and R500 000 to book. The fees exclude provisions for vat and support services such as travel, accommodation, technical and hospitality.

But what will it cost you to book a few other familiar faces?

Former Miss World Rolene Strauss will emcee your event or do a motivational talk for R60 000. At R180 000 Zonke will perform a full set of her songs. The Soweto Gospel Choir performs for R60 000, while rock group Prime Circle performs for R120 000.

R12 000 is the bottom price for bands and big name stars when you book through entertainment-online.co.za.

Professional illusionists and magic shows are also quite pricey, with shows costing anything between R45 000 and R120 000. Having a celebrity emcee your event will also cost between R 30 000 and R120 000.
