Bonang confirmed as MAMA host
MTV Base believes Bonang might just fill up the dome.
Bonang Matheba to host the Mamas.
After Trevor Noah shared that he wouldn’t be able to host the MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMAs) this morning, she who reigns supreme Bonang Matheba was confirmed as the new MAMA host this weekend.
Bonang has hosted a number of high-profile gigs, so this should be a piece of cake for the South African presenter, but as it stands, Matheba won’t be hosting a full house.
MTV Base this morning used the switch in hosts as a last ditch attempt to sell more tickets, saying that with Bonang as host, tickets might sell out.

After organisers moved the awards show to Johannesburg’s Ticketpro Dome this year, there has been ongoing attempts to fill up the dome. Let’s see if Bonang manages to help sell the last tickets.
According to the Ticketpro website, tickets are available to the general unreserved area of the venue at R250 a ticket.
The awards take place tomorrow night.
