WATCH: New world’s fastest and tallest roller coaster to open in Canada

The world-record roller coaster is set to open in May.

The world’s tallest, fastest, and longest dive roller coaster will open in the next few months and will reach a top speed of 130km/h during a dramatic vertical drop.

The ride, named Yukon Striker at Canada‘s Wonderland in Vaughan, Ontario, just outside of Toronto, begins at a height of 68m (roughly 15 stories) above the park, holding riders on one of three wide floorless trains for a full three seconds before taking a 90-degree drop 75m feet down into an underwater mining shaft.

Construction began in January 2018 and the final pieces are set to be slotted into place this month.
