Twitter unimpressed by ‘broke’ Cassper’s R50k donation
Despite previously claiming he was broke, the rapper has made a generous contribution to students.

Cassper Nyovest has reportedly donated R50 000 to the student fundraising initiative at the University of Witwatersrand.
The Gauteng Provinvial government confirmed this in a status update posted to Twitter.
“Cassper Nyovest contributed R50K to the student fundraising initiative at Wits University,” read the tweet. It was accompanied by a picture of a smiling Cassper standing next to Gauteng Premier David Makhura.

Earlier this week, Cassper met with Makhura to discuss how the government could support the South African entertainment industry.

Cassper’s generous move has left many social media users confused, especially since the rapper has claimed he was broke in the build-up to his Fill Up FNB Stadium concert.
He recently revealed that he was so broke, he was even considering selling his Bentleys.
Some users thought that R50 000 was not enough money, since that amount would barely cover the tuition fees at Wits University for one student.

Many fans called Cassper a hero and applauded his generosity as they were grateful for the donation.

Last year Cassper donated R50 000 when the Wits SRC launched a campaign to raise R10 million for students who had outstanding debt.
