PICS: Princess Charlene reunited with her family

Earlier this month, Princess Charlene shared just how much she missed her family and expressed her sorrow at not being able to see them.

Just weeks after expressing her wish to reunite with her family, beloved royal Princess Charlene of Monaco got her wish.

She shared images taken during a recent visit from her children, six-year-old twins, Princess Gabriella and Prince Jacques and her husband Prince Albert.

“I am so thrilled to have my family back with me,” wrote the princess in her caption before explaining her daughter’s new hairstyle.

According to Princess Charlene, Gabriella decided to give herself a haircut.

“Sorry my Bella, I tried my best to fix it,” she wrote.

As previously reported, the princess contracted an ear and throat infection in May during a visit to South Africa.

In an interview with 702’s Mandy Wiener earlier this month, she told Wiener that she did not intend to be here for this long.

Princess Charlene then went on to explain that the ear infection left her with no choice but to extend her stay.

“Initially I was supposed to be here for 10 to 12 days. Unfortunately, I had a problem equalising my ears, and I found out through the doctors that I had a sinus infection and quite a serious one. So it’s taking time to address this problem that I’m having,” said the princess.

The South African reports that this is the second time that her family has visited the country this year.

A few days ago, the princess underwent an operation in an attempt to heal the infection.

The infection reportedly developed after she underwent a sinus lift and bone graft in preparation for dental implants in May.

The publication reports that the surgery was performed prior to her arrival in South Africa.

She only noticed a problem about a month later when she began experiencing extreme soreness in her ears that also prevents her from flying above 20 000 feet.

Until this point, she had only been able to see her family virtually.
