Royal news: Princess Beatrice gives birth, Harry, Charles reminisce about Philip

An official statement was released by the palace to announce that Princess Beatrice and her newborn daughter were doing well.


In this week’s royal update, we learn that Princess Beatrice has given birth to a baby girl – Queen Elizabeth’s 12th great-grandchild.

Prince William and Kate Middleton are anxious about Meghan and Harry’s Time magazine cover, Harry and his father Prince Charles reminisce about Prince Philip in an upcoming documentary, and Meghan and Harry’s interview loses out on an Emmy award.

Princess Beatrice has given birth to a baby girl

A statement from Buckingham Palace was released on Monday to announce that Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli welcomed their newborn daughter into the world on Saturday, 18 September 2021.

“Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their daughter on Saturday 18th September 2021, at 23.42, at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, London,” read the statement.

The statement added that the princess, as well as her baby, were doing well and that the family could not wait to take the baby home to meet their first child.

“Her royal highness and her child are both doing well, and the couple is looking forward to introducing their daughter to her big brother Christopher Woolf,” read the statement.

Beatrice and Edoardo’s daughter is now 11th in line to the throne and will be given a title by her father, who is an Italian count.

Prince William and Kate Middleton anxious about Meghan and Harry’s ‘Time’ cover

Meghan and Harry were recently featured on the cover of Time magazine after being mentioned as two of the world’s 100 most influential people.

According to a royal expert, Duncan Larcombe, who spoke to OK!, Kate and William were not too pleased with the cover, and they tend to get “antsy” whenever the Sussex’s break the internet or make headlines.

“William and Kate are concerned about absolutely everything that comes out of America in regards to Harry and Meghan, especially Harry’s tell-all warts and all memoir that’s gonna hit the shelves sometime next year. They have no control over the narrative,” said Larcombe.

Oprah Winfrey’s interview with Meghan and Harry loses out on an Emmy

Earlier this year, the explosive, tell-all interview that Meghan and Harry had with Oprah Winfrey was nominated for an Emmy in the Outstanding Hosted Nonfiction Series or Special category.

Other nominees such as VICE, Stanley Tucci: Searching For Italy, United Shades of America and My Next Guest Needs No Introduction.

The 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards took place over the weekend, and the Oprah with Meghan and Harry interview special lost to Tucci: Searching For Italy.

Meghan and Harry were also not present at Saturday’s award ceremony.

According to Elle magazine, the couple have been spending their summer on parental leave following the birth of their daughter, Lilibet Diana, who was born in June.

Talking to Hello!, Harry said his daughter has a calm nature, and she is usually happy enough to just sit there and watch her older brother do his own thing.

“We’ve been lucky so far, she’s very chilled and seems happy to just sit there while Archie is running around like crazy,” said Harry.
