Where is Patricia Lewis? She’s back with a new single after 11 years

After a whirlwind year for the blonde beauty. whose album reached gold status on the day it was released, Patricia Lewis is back in full force.

Patricia Lewis embarked on what she calls her “whirlwind national radio tour” on Tuesday. The occasion? Her first single in 1 years, called Hello, Hello.

Lewis has been living in Ballito, KwaZulu-Natal, for the best part of 14 years and has been married to Mark Whitfield for 19 years.

Their 17-year-old son, Max, is now a body builder and she says “thank God he inherited his father’s good brain”.

Lewis says she took a step back from singing when Max went to Grade 1.

“I said, that’s it. I want to be privileged to be part of his life every day.”

Now, as Max nears matric, his singer mom is back, saying she still wants to record another album or a couple of new songs. Lewis recorded a couple of songs during lockdown and Hello, Hello is the first one to be released.

The blonde bombshell told Martin Bester during an interview on Jacaranda FM that her new single might be a little cheesy, but that she doesn’t care.

“You know why? Because the whole world has been suffering for almost two years.”

She decided to go with a “happy-go-lucky, sing-along song” and wrote the lyrics herself.

“I want to share a little bit of happiness around the world,” she said.

Lewis looks like she hasn’t aged one bit and says her secret comes down to maintenance.

“It’s called maintenance, dammit” she exclaims. She says it is all about exercising and eating well and then she subtly mentions Botox, keeping things real.

“Everybody gets old.”

The singer and presenter only joined social media about 18 months ago and says she was completely overwhelmed with the love and support from fans across the country who have become friends.

She says she would love to do one last tour, to travel across the country and thank the people who have shown her so much love and support over the years.
