Elon Musk’s critics gleeful as he’s booed off stage

Elon Musk was booed for several minutes during Dave Chappelle's stand up show.


The world’s richest man and owner of Twitter Elon Musk wasn’t immune to hearing how people really felt about him outside social media when he was booed at Dave Chappelle’s stand-up show. 

Videos started circulating on the app he owns on Twitter on Monday, it shows how for a very long period people in chorus booed him off the stage.

Elon Musk gets booed

Musk who is generally a controversial figure on and off social media was brought out on stage by Chapelle at Chase Center in San Franciso in the United States.

At first, there were a few cheers and applause, however, it was followed by louder boos with Musk seemingly surprised as he raised his hands up in disbelief. 

The video quickly spread across Twitter, as attendees shared what they heard and witnessed.

Illana Stern tweeted: “@elonmusk just got booed like I’ve never heard before on stage with @davechapelle and @chrisrock. He couldn’t get a word in, the crowd booed for 10 minutes. Not favoured on his home turf. He looked stunned, must not get enough feedback IRL”.

Musk critics were joyful as they shared their thoughts on what they deemed is the general consensus of how they feel about the billionaire’s antics on Twitter and the changes he’s planning to make on the app.

After buying Twitter in October, billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk announced his intention to diversify the company’s revenue stream beyond advertising, turning to new paying formulas for premium features.

A blue checkmark on an account, which indicates it has been verified by Twitter, was previously free but reserved for organisations and public figures in an attempt to avoid impersonation and misinformation.

Musk has been criticised for his plans to relaunch its subscription service to monetise it. 

The South African born has also hinted he wants to increase the number of characters in a tweet from 280 to 4 000.
