Kabomo Vilakazi takes on the acting world
Kabomo Vilakazi, who is known for his work as a singer, producer, music director, poet is taking on a new acting role on Vuzu.
Vilakazi, who has worked with the likes of musicians including Unathi Msengana, Skwatta Kamp, HHP and Zwai Bala has also released his own material over the years.
The singer will now star in the new comedy series, ‘Check Coast’ on Vuzu and he will reportedly be playing the role of Bheka Zonke, a Home Affairs official.
About his new role, he says: “He is the most corrupt person ever. His unemployed nephew is always visible at the office but no one knows what he’s doing there. He has also hired a personal assistant he is having an affair with.”
“Bheka makes inappropriate statements about race, class and everything. I constantly have to remove myself when doing this role,” he told the Daily Sun.
Vilakazi will be starring alongside, socialite Khanyi Mbau in the series.
‘Check Coast’ airs on Vuzu Thursdays from 23 January at 7pm.
