Nasty C slammed for praising light-skinned people
Nasty C is receiving flak on social media after posting a picture in honour of black men who are light-skinned.
The rapper thought he was being funny when he posted a selfie of himself imitating what is known as the “light skin n*ggas” pose.
It is said that light skinned men of colour lick their bottom lip while trying to appear cool in pictures, and Nasty C, being a “light skinned brother”, decided to imitate the pose.
“In honour of all light skin niggas worldwide… I look up to y’all,” he captioned the image.
His followers did not get the joke, and were offended by his post.
Some went so far as to call him ugly, saying he only looked good because he had money not because he had light skin.
Other fans expressed disappointment that Nasty C would encourage skin colour issues in young people.
“C’mon kid ur a role model, don’t be the reason black kids hate themselves because they think there’s something wrong with being dark.
“All respect lost, I thought you were woke (sic),” one follower wrote.
