Papgeld: Potential deadbeat Presley Chweneyagae leaves ‘The River’ fans disappointed

Social media users and fans of 1Magic telenovela The River have been left stunned after seeing actor Presley Chweneyagae on the latest episode of Moja Love’s Papgeld – a show aimed at getting uninvolved parents to step up and take responsibility for their children.
Hosted by Moss Makwati, the show began in 2018 and has been renewed season after season with stories that not only thrill audiences, but show parents what their options are if they find themselves in similar situations.
Presley remains silent
A woman named Aletta Somfula wrote to Papgeld and Moja Love asking for help to track down the actor after she said he was not doing what was required of him when it came to taking care of their 16-year-old son.
The actor, who plays the beloved role of Cobra on The River, has two other children with his wife, Paulina Chweneyagae.
According to Papgeld, his son with Alletta was born in 2005, and he insisted on a DNA test to establish paternity. The test established that he was indeed the father of Alletta’s child.

Upon discovering him walking down the street in the latest episode of Papgeld, Makwati pressed him for answers about why he was doing what was doing and Chweneyagae remained silent throughout the entire exchange.
Makwati even accused him of treating his son the same way he was treating Aletta and the Papgeld team whom he ignored.

Aletta speaks
Speaking to ZiMoja, Aletta insisted that she is not resentful and said that all she wants for her son is what is best for him.
When asked by the Moja Love publication why she opted to broadcast their issues for all of Mzansi to see, she said: “I don’t want to be a bad mother, but I want the best for my child. He just knows to ask my parents to send my child to visit him when I am away and to refrain from giving him anything.”
On the show, she also insisted that her only request from Presley Chweneyagae is that he formally agrees to terminate his parental rights.
She additionally asked that he stops picking the child up without her permission as he has been doing to allegedly take him around and show him off.
