Idols executive producer and rapper Tebogo “ProVerb” Thekisho’s marriage set tongues wagging last year on social media after confirming his now ex-wife, Onalerona, had cheated on him with a Pretoria-based businessman.
Everything went quiet for a while until last month, when the Sunday World reported that ProVerb had found love in the arms of former Miss South Africa Liesl Laurie. According to the paper the two were spotted holding hands at Rosebank Mall, Johannesburg, looking “too cosy to be friends”, and they have also attended charity events together.
ProVerb shared a picture of himself and Laurie at an event with the caption: “Whether it’s love for self, love for another or love for our fellow human beings, we all need love. Spread some this weekend.”
The rapper has since denied the reports, saying they are “just friends”.
ProVerb waited for the rumours to subside, then posted a picture of him and another person wearing matching sneakers and captioned it: “Pair of Sneakers”. He then went on to show some support for his rumoured bae by liking her Facebook page on Thursday.
