TKZee’s Magesh arrested for assaulting Bala
Magesh has been arrested after assaulting his former TKZee colleague during an argument at his home.

Magesh, real name Tokollo Tshabalala, allegedly got into a fight with Zwai Bala when an argument about travelling broke out, Daily Sun reported.
Magesh allegedly started shouting and insulting Bala, who he formed kwaito band TKZee with in the 90s. In a police statement Bala claims that when he got up to leave the house, Magesh chased him out, hitting him with a ‘sharp object on the face’. Magesh also allegedly headbutted the windscreen, breaking it and the rear-view mirror.
Bala drove to Fourways hospital where he was treated for a cut to the forehead and broken nose. He then opened a case of assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm at Douglasdale police station.
Magesh was arrested and has appeared in the Randburg Magistrates Court midweek where he was granted R1000 bail. The case was postponed to next month.
Magesh’s lawyer reportedly stated that the case will be resolved soon as the two were friends and would ‘sort it out’
Zwai didn’t answer Daily Sun’s calls or messages.
