VIDEO: Groban hits the city of Gold

Lyrical baritone Josh Groban's album reaches Gold status on the eve of his SA tour.

Yesterday the You Raise Me Up crooner Josh Groban arrived in South Africa for his Stages Tour. The South African leg of the tour, promoting his new album Stages, is just
in time for him to receive a gold plaque from Warner Music. Locally Stages has sold an excess of 20 000 copies.

He was presented with the plague yesterday at the Ticketpro Dome in Johannesburg. Since his debut album in 2001 Groban has sold an estimated 650 000 albums in South Africa. Groban says he loves coming to South Africa (this is his third visit) because the country has been supportive of him from the onset of his career.

Groban is performing in Johannesburg tonight (April 8), at the Durban ICC on April 10 and the Grand West Arena in Cape Town on April 12 and 13. There are limited tickets still available for the shows. Visit computicket.com for more.
