WATCH: Babes Wodumo performs ‘Kukhona iy’ngane la endlini’

By Citizen Reporter

Bongekile “Babes Wodumo” Simelane was highly criticised by South Africans on social media on Friday after a video of her performing Mampintsha’s latest single, Kukhona iy’ngane la endlini, surfaced.

She was celebrating her birthday at Rich, a popular club in Durban on Thursday night.

In the video, Babes can be seen on stage dancing and singing along to the song, as she repeatedly sings Kukhona iy’ngane la endlini.

There was an uproar on Monday after Mandla Maphumulo, popularly known as Mampintsha, released the Gqom track in which he sings Kukhona iy’ngane la endlini, which loosely translates to there are children in the house.

The words were spoken by Mampintsha in the assault video that shook Mzansi early this month.

Mampintsha has since apologised for assaulting Babes Wodumo.

Though South Africans had not forgotten Mampintsha, he was again highly criticised for making a song out of the assault and was accused of making fun of Babes Wodumo’s pain. He trended on Twitter the whole weekend for the song.

However, Babes Wodumo’s supporters were left in shock after the video of Babes Wodumo singing to her pain.
