Thembisa Mdoda takes a break from Our Perfect Wedding

While Thembisa is away, viewers will be left in the very capable hands of guest presenters, Anele Mdoda and Jessica Nkosi.

After attending nineteen beautiful weddings and ushering couples to their blissful union in Season 6 of Our Perfect Wedding, Thembisa Mdoda will go on break from May 29 and will return Sunday, July 10 2016.

The vivacious presenter has been shooting with the show non-stop since taking over from Tumi Morake and will be going on a short vacation to recharge.

“After so many amazing episodes, I’m honoured that South Africans still appreciate seeing me on their screens, as we celebrate the love and beautiful weddings of the various couples. I have decided to take some time off to regroup and gear-up for more exciting weddings to come. I can’t wait to return and take the viewers through more amazing weddings after my holiday.”

Whilst Thembisa is away, viewers will be left in the very capable hands of guest presenters, Anele Mdoda (her sister) and Isibaya’s Jessica Nkosi. The two will step in to hold the fort until Thembisa’s return.

Fresh from wrapping up the 3rd season of Mzansi’s favourite choral show, Clash of the Choirs SA as a judge, Anele looks forward to witnessing the couples’ last few hours leading up to the altar by documenting their matrimonial journey. She is best known as a radio personality, presenter, comedienne, MC and has been on the judging panel for Miss South Africa and Clash of the Choirs SA.

“Ever since we were young, we have always looked out for each other and this is no different. I am looking forward to this experience because I am a huge fan of the show,” Anele says.

Jessica Nkosi will be up first to guest present Mzansi’s favourite wedding reality show on the  June 05 and June 12, followed by Anele Mdoda on  June19 until July 3.

“It is a great privilege to be part of such a huge production. Our Perfect Wedding is the main course on Mzansi Magic’s Sunday viewing and as someone who loves weddings, love, décor and beautiful things, I cannot wait to be part of this experience from the beginning, to the end,” says Nkosi.

“Thembisa Mdoda has had a very successful run with the show and deserves some time to herself and her family. In this time we have enlisted the services of two of our talented personalities and viewer favourites to add their flair to this exhilarating show. We cannot wait to see what they will bring to this demanding and exciting role,” says Head of Publicity for Local Interest Channels, Nondumiso Mabece.

The show must go on… Thembisa Mdoda will return as the host on the 10th of July 2016. Our Perfect Wedding broadcasts every Sunday on Mzansi Magic (DStv Channel 161) at 19:00.
