Bill Mingos Chauke and Nozipho Chiliza beat almost 6 000 other fans in the competition run by e.tv and Quizzical Pictures to find actors to play the younger Mnqobi and Cebisile on Season 4 of e.tv’s Umlilo.
Bill, from Johannesburg, and Nozipho, from Durban, had their first taste of life on the set of the SAFTA award-winning drama series recently.
“Quizzical Pictures is delighted to have Nozipho Chiliza and Bill Chauke joining the team. The youngsters showed professionalism on set and impressed our director, Denny Miller, with their performances. Acting takes a great deal of dedication and passion, and we hope that the experience these young actors had with the Umlilo cast and crew will inspire them to continue their journey,” said series producer Viva Liles-Wilkin.
