Man caught with an illegal firearm in Germiston
“The suspect was placed under arrest and detained at the Germiston SAPS for possessing a 9mm firearm and live ammunition.”
Law enforcers arrested a suspect for possession of live ammunition and an illegal firearm in Germiston.
The Ekurhuleni Crime Intelligence Aggravated Robbery Team received information about a man in possession of a handgun frequenting a Germiston gambling spot.

“The suspect allegedly threatened the people he used to gamble with. The information was co-ordinated with members of the SAPS Germiston Crime Prevention Squad,” said Captain Neldah Sekgobela, the district communication officer for Ekurhuleni.
“When the suspect was approached, he refused to co-operate. A 9mm pistol with 13 live rounds of ammunition and filed-off serial numbers was discovered in his possession when he was apprehended.”
