Carolina Police urge residents to keep children indoors

“Residents must adhere to social distancing while standing in line to collect grants and buy the necessary groceries.”

Sgt Thabang Mokwana, spokesman for Carolina Police, urged residents to adhere to the 21-day lockdown regulations as they collect their grants.

“Residents must adhere to social distancing while standing in line to collect grants and when buying essential goods.”

He urged parents to keep their children indoors and said they should not allow them to play in the streets.

Sgt Mokwana said he noticed the quiet streets of Phase X in Silobela and thanked these residents for doing their part during the lockdown.

“As the minister of health said, the virus can be contained through cooperation from residents by adhering to the regulations and to stay at home.”
