Straight shooting at EDPC
Fred Bosch was the winner of the self-loading rifle match where contestants had to shoot at steel gongs at different distances.
Ermelo Defensive Pistol Club (EDPC) held a handgun club-shoot at the Vlakfontein Shooting Range on Saturday.
24 shooters attended the event that consisted of four handgun stages and one self-loading rifle stage.
The overall winner was John Whatley who posted a winning time of 37.42 seconds. He was followed by Christo Botha (51.54) in second place and Johnny dos Reis (57.93) in third.
Other contestants who finished in the top 10 positions are Simon du Plessis, Bruce Theron, Jaco Moolman, Louis Geldenhuys, Christelle Whatley, Heino Volker and Victor Borges.
The self-loading rifle match was held on the rifle range where contestants had to shoot at steel gongs at different distances. The winner here was Fred Bosch followed by Loekie Janse Van Rensburg in second place and Heino Volker in third place.
EDPC also welcomed their newest club member, Victor Borges. Victor did exceptionally well by classifying as a sharp shooter and finishing 10th overall.
