Department of Culture, Sport and Recreation helps clubs with equipment

The programme presented by DCSR is for the development of sports teams in the region.

The Department of Culture, Sport and Recreation (DCSR) Gert Sibande region handed over sporting equipment to various sports clubs around Msukaligwa at their offices last Wednesday.

The programme, called Club Development, presented by the department working with the Msukaligwa Sports Council is for the development of sports teams in the region.

Teams are encouraged to register on DCSR’s database from where the beneficiaries were picked.

Four teams benefitted from the programme, volleyball from Davel, basketball from Breyten and Ermelo and soccer from Chrissiesmeer.

“DCSR will continue to monitor the teams, as the department encourages the improvement of sports in and around Gert Sibande District,” said DCSR’s Sibusiso Mnisi.
