Shongwe shows his pace at Kralinbergh parkrun

Mekuwo Mamukelwa Shongwe demonstrated his speed during the recent Kralinbergh parkrun and won quite comfortably.

Mekuwo Mamukelwa Shongwe showed his pace during the weekly Kralinbergh parkrun over the past weekend.

Shongwe, in only his ninth parkrun took the honours with a time of 26:25, falling short of his personal best at 24:35.

Johan Victor, who was running in his 70th parkrun, kept up with him fairly well. He finished in a time of 27:27.

Event #107 drew 45 runners, six of whom were first-timers at Kralinbergh and three of whom were brand-new to parkrun.

Two unidentified runners completed the top five. Runners are reminded to register and carry their barcodes on race day.
