Ermelo Shalom Marathon Club runners compete in Comrades Marathon

Runners of Shalom Marathon Club are proud of their achievements in the 2022 Comrades Marathon.

ERMELO – Runners of Shalom Marathon Club are proud of their achievements in the 2022 Comrades Marathon.

They trained hard throughout the year and even braved the winter season preparing for the ultimate race.

“It really is the ultimate human race, you get to self introspect while running,” one of the runners, Luciah Nkonyane, said.

More than 25 runners from the Ermelo participated in this year’s Comrades Marathon, including ten novices.

The club congratulated all their athletes who completed the Comrades.

“At least it was not a 90km race, but 88.9km run,” Bheki Maseko concluded jokingly.
