IN PICS: Artists exhibit their work in the valley

A percentage of the sale of artwork will be donated to 1 000 Hills Community Helpers.

MANY people gathered at the Art in the Valley art fair at Macnut Farm in Assagay at the weekend.

The Art in the Valley initiative is a community-focused project giving local fine artists an opportunity to exhibit and promote their works with a percentage of their sales going to a chosen charity, 1 000 Hills Community Helpers.

According to Hannah Paine, more than 300 visitors attended the art fair despite the road closures and poor signage, but this year they received considerable support from their main sponsor, 1 000 Hills Tourism.

Beautiful artwork, from paintings, sketches, mixed media, modern artwork as well as the 1 000 Hills Community Helpers promoting and selling their hand-made goods were drawcards for many visitors.
