Pinetown N3 accident leaves two injured

Two people were injured in an accident involving two trucks

TWO people were injured after a car and two heavy goods trucks collided on the N3 Durban bound near the Richmond Road off ramp in Pinetown yesterday.

Chris Botha, Coastal Media Liaison at Netcare Limited said the exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain a subject for police investigation and comment.

“Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the driver of the car still trapped in the wreckage, the passenger was found at the side of the roadway.

“Netcare rescue officer used the Jaws of Life to free the patient, paramedics clambered into the wreckage to treat her,” said Botha.

The injured were stabilized on scene they were transported to a Netcare hospital in Durban for the care that they required.
