Kearsney and WBHS share two wins each

Kearsney College bags two out of four wins at its weekend sports fixtures against Westville Boys' High School.

RAIN played havoc with cricket fixtures at Kearsney College, washing out the 1st X1 and all A team games against Westville Boys’ High School.

Kearsney scored 111/4 (Tristan Tedder – 42 not out), Westville did not bat.

But that did not dampen the school’s spirits, in having a fair sports weekend.

It was a hotly contested basketball match between two young teams. Kearsney took a lead early and never surrendered it.

Westville, however, fought hard to win the second quarter 19-17 but Kearsney regained their lead and never looked back, to win the fixture 58-37.

Kearsney also beat WBHS 6-3 in tennis, but lost 6-8 against them in waterpolo, and lost 1-4 against WBHS in squash.
