Golfing best tee off at Kloof

The best of KZN golfers competed at Kloof Country Club.

EIGHTY-five players from 66 golf clubs battled it out for the coveted title of being KZN’s ‘Best of the Best’ in the annual RENASA Champions of Champions Tournament held at the Kloof Country Club.

This tournament, sponsored by Renesa Insurance for the last three years, invites all the male and female club champions from KZN to compete in a 36-hole stroke-play championship played over two days.

The event saw some great golf and low scores, despite play being suspended for an hour due to mist on the final day.

The top male and female winners were David Brown and Bronwyn Rae, both from Mount Edgecombe Country Club.

Every year the winners have the honour of planting a tree on the course, which took place in the dark due to weather delays. The trees were sponsored by Ben Botha Landscapes.
