MEEKAH Cocking is Curro Hillcrest’s high school SPAR Star of the Month.
She recently attended the girls’ touch rugby U18 SA training camp in Cape Town and has been selected for the Girls U18 SA World Cup Team to tour Malaysia in August this year.
She has represented KZN touch rugby for the last five years, representing the junior teams since the U15 age group and selected for the KZN senior mixed team.
Initially Meekah started in the wing position in the team but she has been encouraged to play in the mid and link positions to better utilise her exceptional skills.
“We wish Meekah all the best for her training and the lovely opportunity to play in Malaysia,” said Curro Hillcrest’s marketing manger, Fiona Johnson.
