Learners raise R7 600 for baby fund

Learners also donated toys, clothes and blankets for the babies.

WESTVILLE Senior Primary School held a charity drive this month to benefit the Feed the Babies Fund. Learners donated toys, clothes and blankets for the babies. They were also encouraged to do chores at home for payment, or to donate a portion of their pocket money to collect funds which the charity uses to buy nutritious cereal for pre-primary aged children.

The generous amount of R7 600 raised, will feed 250 pre-school children. Pictured, seated left, is Mrs Davies from Feed the Babies with Mrs Carryn Maher (WSPS – Public Relations) and a group of grade 5 learners.
