Eco school teaches learners valuable skills

Birches Pre-Primary School hosted an entrepreneurship evening to teach children about business skills.

PINETOWN Eco school, Birches Pre-Primary, continued on their venture to help their little ones develop life-skills and to explore some business skills.

Families were urged to accept this challenge and work together with their child to develop these skills and to help them develop a true value of money.

They had to do was to plan together and to see if they could make a profit on Thursday, 2 May when the school hosted a entrepreneurship evening where the little ones, who submitted their business plans in time, as it was on a ‘first come, first serve’ basis, had stalls where they sold their items including food and cooldrinks.

Principal, Scilla Edmonds, said she also encouraged parents to help their children to realise that money has to be earned as it does not ‘grow on trees’.
