Westville community expresses disappointment over Nativity Scene incident

A viral video showing members of the public displaying acts of disrespect at the Westville Nativity Scene has sparked disappointment in the community.

JAG SECURITY has expressed regret over an incident at the Nativity Scene in Westville, which has since gone viral on social media. A video shows two people striking and harshly interacting with the mannequins at the scene.

The Westville Nativity Scene is a cherished tradition, with many residents visiting annually with their children to take photos. Erected by the Rotary Club of Westville around Christmas, it is a beloved community offering.

The incident has sparked disappointment within the Westville community, with local social media groups accusing those in the video of being disrespectful.

In response, JAG Security has acknowledged the incident and emphasised that they are taking the matter seriously.

“We will make a public announcement once the necessary procedures have been completed,” the statement reads.

They also urged the community to refrain from further commenting on the matter.
