MP Fadiel Adams will be back at the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court on Friday (August 14).

The leader of the National Coloured Congress (NCC) was previously granted R10 000 bail by the court.

He is in the dock on charges of fraud (three counts) and defeating the administration of justice (two counts).

The court imposed strict bail conditions on Adams, which included:

• He may not communicate with witnesses. These include members of the SAPS, Durban Metro Police, employees of the Department of Correctional Services, and members of the Political Killings Task Team (PKTT).
• He must report in person to Mitchells Plain SAPS twice weekly.
• He must reside at the addresses provided to the court. Should he change addresses, he must notify the investigating officer before doing so.
• He must obtain prior consent from the investigating officer if he needs to travel outside Cape Town.
• Should he need to travel for work purposes, he must provide the investigating officer with the relevant authority and obtain prior consent.
