Kloof SPCA office closed after heavy rains

The Kloof and Highway SPCA reported that none of their animals were affected by the heavy rains.

THE Kloof and Highway SPCA office is closed today due to lots of structural damage caused by the heavy rains.

Brigitte Ferguson from the SPCA said they are grateful that the animals are safe.

“Our offices though have been flooded and we currently have no electricity, the phones and internet have been affected,” she said.

In a Facebook post, the Kloof and Highway SPCA said they hope that their village green shops, tea garden, and nursery will be open from 08:00 to 15:00 today, Friday, March 14.

The Kloof area was one of the areas in the Highway area that was hit badly by the storm.

Yesterday the CPF executive committee reported that multiple roads were flooded and that there were multiple cars stuck in water up to window height.

Ferguson pleaded with the public to assist them fix the damages caused by the heavy rains.
