A little giving could change a child’s Christmas

The chair of Isibusiso Day and After Care for Disabled Children, Thandiwe Zungu, says any donations will be welcomed.

AN NPO based in Mpumalanga Township which cares for the orphaned and children with disabilities has made a plea for donations to spread festive cheer among those it cares for.

The founder and chair of Isibusiso Day and After Care for Disabled Children, Thandiwe Zungu, said any donations for the NPO, which currently cares for 17 children, will be welcomed.

“It can be toys, second-hand clothes, we are just kindly asking for any kind of help,” said Zungu.

Zungu said she has been operating for almost 20 years and only in recent years did she register the NPO, which takes care of the children on a full-time basis.

She said the social grants received by the children are not enough, hence the call for kind donations, “especially now that it is December”.

Zungu said two of the children living at the centre are already in university; one was doing matric this year whilst the youngest of the lot are aged three.

Zungu can be reached on 063 264 3281.

Alternatively call her daughter Melody Shange, who works alongside her at the NPO, on 073 949 3031.
