THE much-loved Kloof and Highway SPCA’s Carols by Candlelight is taking place on Tuesday, December 16, from 18:00 to 20:00 in the SPCA‘s paddocks at 29 Village Road, Kloof.

This year, they are switching things up and celebrating in their spacious horse paddocks with plenty of cover to keep visitors dry from those Durban December rains.

Tickets cost R50 per person (includes a candle), children under 12 pay R20, and dogs on leads are most welcome.

Tickets are available on www.quicket.co.za.

Kloof and Highway SPCA’s Brigitte Ferguson said they are thrilled to have the Durban Regiment Pipe Band opening the evening.

“They will be followed by Belinda Dolphin, who will lead us in singing all your favorite carols. Delicious food and refreshments will be on sale from vendors such as Marilyn’s Tea Garden, Paws for Coffee, and Langtons Brewery.

“We have plenty tables and chairs but you are still welcome to bring your own camp chairs and blankets and join in the festivities we’ve all missed so much!” said Ferguson.

She urged the public to support them as they enter the most challenging time of the year.

Sanelisiwe Tsinde

My name is Sanelisiwe Tsinde, and I'm a mother of two boys and very family-oriented. Being a community journalist for years, I can proudly say I love writing about positive community news articles and giving a voice to the voiceless. Seeing people getting assistance warms my heart. Every day is a different challenge and a new learning opportunity. I supply news for our trusted publication weekly, and a few years ago, Caxton ventured into online publication, so I contribute daily to the websites. I could say I am a multimedia journalist, and working in a community newspaper is beneficial as we do not focus on one thing but we do a bit of everything.
