Parts of Westville to be affected by planned power outage
There will be a planned electricity outage at Blair Atholl Substation on January 29, affecting parts of Westville and surrounding areas.
ETHEKWINI Municipality has sent out a statement to advise the public of a planned electricity supply interruption at Blair Atholl Substation scheduled for Thursday, January 29 from 08:00 to 20:00.
The City said the planned interruption is required to allow the City’s Energy Management Directorate to conduct essential maintenance on the 11kV circuit breakers and busbar at Blair Atholl Substation.
“As a section of the 11kV busbar will be taken out of service, approximately 15% of customers supplied from the substation will be affected.”
