Truck driver killed in N3 horrific crash
A truck driver was killed in a collision involving two trucks on the N3 near Cliffdale, a day after another fatal crash near Shongweni.
Another accident involving trucks has claimed another life on the N3, this time near the Cliffdale interchange, just outside Shongweni.
Yesterday, Wednesday, June 3, a woman believed to be in her 30s was killed in a horrific multi-vehicle collision between the Mariannhill Toll Plaza and the Shongweni off-ramp.
This morning Garrith Jamieson, ALS Paramedics spokesperson, reported that two trucks were in this horrific crash.
“One truck is lying on its side with its contents spilled.
“One person, assumed to be the driver of the truck that has overturned, sustained fatal injuries. The second truck driver sustained no injuries,” said Jamieson.
Authorities are still on scene and motorists are advised to try and avoid the area.
