Hillcrest High cricketers swing to success

The team bowled out the hosts, Kloof High School for 88.

HILLCREST High School’s 1st XI cricket team participated in the Kloof High School Annual Twenty 20 Tournament recently and they reigned victorious against Gelofte Hoersklool by eight wickets.

Robin Smith and Nikolai Klewinghaus picked up two wickets each, while Kallan George scored a quick 35* not out. The final was contested between Hillcrest High School and their hosts, Kloof High School. Hillcrest kept up their fine form and bowled Kloof out for 88. Caleb Meyer 3/1 and Robin Smith 3/9 were the main contributors with the ball. Hillcrest dug deep and fought hard and won the final by five wickets. Kallan George scored 30.

Head of sport, Patrick Windsor, congratulated coach Terrence Boyce and the 1st XI on winning the tournament for the first time. He also thanked their 1st XI sponsor, TWS Digital, for their continued support.
