Uncle Jumbo throws a festive party
This year's show promises to be bigger and better than ever.
UNCLE Jumbo’s Christmas Party returns this year to spread some festive magic. The lads of the Kloof Round Table have been working tirelessly under the white marquee covering the Kloof Civic Hall field, to put together another spectacular Uncle Jumbo’s Christmas Party. Uncle Jumbos’ Christmas Show has been running for nearly 40 years now, and this year, the show promises to be bigger and better than ever.
The show will sport the usual entourage of Noddy, Big Ears, Mr Plod, and Uncle Jumbo himself. Good old friend St Nick will be there, and you can also expect some well-known superheroes and TV characters to attend as well. The only problem is that there’s rumors that the no-good Mick and Golly will be there again this year, and are planning to ruin the show. This is where the lads need your help, children. They cannot fight off the baddies without you, and so have invited all of you, and your mommies, daddies, grandparents, uncles, aunties, brothers, sisters, friends and cousins to come and be a part of the show this year.
The show will run from Thursday 28 November until Saturday 7 December, with no show on Sunday 1 December (even Santa needs a rest now and then). Tickets are available at the door, or pre-purchased from the Kloof Village Mall Superspar, at R40 each.
For bookings, contact Uncle Jumbo’s Hotline on 071 871 3272. The show starts at 7pm each night, so don’t delay, and make sure you get there early to get a good seat. Food and beverages for children and parents alike will be available at the event, so please support the bistro, which is run by Kloof Village Mall Superspar.
Money raised at the event goes into the Kloof Round Table Welfare Fund, and is used throughout the year to assist and run many charity and community projects. For more information on the projects run by the Kloof Round Table, take a look at the website, www.kloof190.co.za.
Kloof Round Table are always on the lookout for new members, so if you are a man aged 18 to 40, contact one of the tablers after the show to find out about the awesome organisation.
There will also be a collection each night at the show, and any non-perishable food stuffs, blankets, toys, clothing and unwanted household goods are always welcome. These collections will be donated to various charities on the show nights. Grab your children, your grandchildren, your friends’ children, and go along to share in the magic with Kloof Round Table this Christmas.
