SINGER and entertainer, Sandy Bigara, returns to the Catalina Theatre in Wilson’s Wharf in Durban in a celebration of love through stories and music on Friday, 13 and Saturday, 14 February from 7pm to 8pm.

Bigara’s 2014 album, A Night to Remember, released in August, has received a warm welcome from Durban audiences. Sandy’s online music profile spent most of last year at number one in South Africa, and is currently at number one in Durban on the Reverbnation international music charts. Her independently-released singles, Butterflies and Heart You Are Gone, have enjoyed both local and international radio play.

Bigara’s Valentine’s celebration, A Night to Remember, will feature a number of classical, jazz and traditional folk songs from the 2014 album, as well as some blues tracks from the singer’s new album, Autumn Walk.

“I didn’t know if my vintage blues album would be completed by February but I have managed to produce it in time, and I will include some of my favourite numbers in the show. I’ll be singing my heart out, celebrating love and enjoying songs that hold special meaning for me,” said Bigara.

The popular entertainer promises a fabulous night of song with a twist. She will also be telling stories about music as well as tales of her own musical journey.

Only 50 autographed copies of her two albums will be on sale at R100 each.

Tickets to A Night to Remember cost R120 for adults, R100 for students and R80 for pensioners. Group bookings of four or more at R100 each are available through Computicket or at the door. There is also an early booking special of R100 each, valid until 6 February.
