Jekyll and Hyde musical comes to Durban

Jekyll and Hyde is pure, pulse-pounding theatre, with a lush, romantic pop score hailed as a modern classic, even before the show began its smash-hit Broadway run.

KEARSNEY College presents the bone-chilling musical Jekyll and Hyde next week, the evocative tale of the epic battle between good and evil, based on the Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic story about a brilliant doctor whose experiments with human personality create an evil and murderous counterpart.

The production will run for four nights, from Tuesday, 7 May to Friday, 10 May.

Convinced the cure for his father’s mental illness lies in the separation of man’s evil nature from his good, Dr Henry Jekyll unwittingly unleashes his own dark side, wreaking havoc in the streets of late 19th-century London as the savage, maniacal Edward Hyde.
