Paws to the park, help raise funds for pit bull rescue
The aim of the event is to raise awareness and funds for Serendipitty who assist with adoptions and care for unwanted pit bulls.

SERENDIPITTY Rescue (pit bull) will host Bark in the Park at Westville Athletics Club on Sunday, 15 December, from 10am to 5pm.
The aim of the event is to raise awareness and funds for Serendipitty who assist with adoptions and care for unwanted pit bulls.

All dogs welcome on condition they are on a harness and are socialised.
The event features the local sounds of five bands; TYPE-7, Setting Sons, Alchemy, RadioRush, Cactus Club and soloist, Candice.
There will be a craft beer area from RailRoad Brewing Co offering craft beer, a gin-bar, and rum as well as craft lemonade by Everything Lemon. Coffee fans will be taken care of by Caffe Primo and Candy Pop will have slushies, candyfloss and popcorn to ensure all ages are catered for.
To grab something to eat, feel free to stroll around the food stalls provided by Fat Cat Gourmet Truck, The Bite Co. (Halaal), Natural Vibes, Le-Shandisi, Eats of the Earth (vegan) and last, but by no means least, Sparrows Rusks.
As if the entertainment and food isn’t enough, there are also other activities to keep you going all through the day. Sevensevensports Bagjump sponsored by Need A Tool will allow you to enjoy some adrenaline-fuelled fun and play stuntman for the day. This activity provides you the opportunity to jump and free fall onto a giant airbag and the best part, all ages welcome to participate.
If being a stuntman inspires your competitive spirit, there will also be an obstacle course to win bragging rights on. For children there is Shanice’s Messy Play Area which is sure to be a hit.
There will also be a number of stalls which include the likes of Kanine krunchies SA, Thilda’s Cave, dog training by Andy Ording, Creature Care and Misty’s Haven.

Black Owl photography will be there to capture some special moments at this dog-friendly environment.
Other vendors who will be offering ideas for gifts for friends and family include Wolf printing and Raeesa’s Handmade Jewellery.
Tickets are R50 for adults and R25 for children under 12 years.
The cost of the bag jump is R40 or R60 for two jumps. Tickets are available at the entrance to the club.
Your own food and drink will not be permitted at the venue.
