King’s Jet can glide in

Competitive racing is the stable diet in the exotic legs of the Scottsville race meeting today, but it could pay to be with King's Jet in Race 6, a MR77 handicap over 1000m.

While no disrespect is intended to the riders who have been aboard King’s Jet recently he will have the services now of the master, Anton Marcus.

The Jet Master gelding has battled to capture his earlier good form but hinted at doing so when finishing sixth just 3.30 lengths behind Reigning Wind last week over this course and distance.

After being slow away King’s Jet showed some of his customary early good speed only to tire very late. This is his third run after a lengthy break so King’s Jet should be at peak fitness

The recently turned three-year-old National King may have found the 1500m too far for him when well beaten by the top class MLJet. His sprint form before that could make National King the biggest threat to King’s Jet.

Arabian National attracted good betting support when winning on the Polytrack at Greyville last time so indicated he is back to form but a look at his form shows he has bad runs in between winning ones.

Black Jaguar probably needs further than this quick 1000m so may only be good enough to earn minor stake money.

Fat Chance shows good pace when in the mood and has won three times over this track and trip so could be the surprise package. But his recent form does leave him with improvement needed.

It is hard to see any of the remaining runners troubling the judge.
